 Outreach

IEEE strives to promote engineering in middle schools and high schools around the Chicago-land area through engaging students in fun engineering activities and showing them the possibilities of different engineering disciplines.

IEEEXtreme Hackathon

IEEEXtreme is a global programming competition where teams of IEEE Student members compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems. Students work in teams of 3(grads or undergrads). You must be a national IEEE member to compete, but we can fund your membership with advance notice of interest.

See more information here: https://ieeextreme.org/

This year the hackathon will take place:  October 19th, 2019

General Body Meetings, Tours, and Social Events

IEEE is proud to host several incredible speakers from companies in all industry sectors to visit the

campus and interact with UIC students. GBMs are where you can learn about internship and full-time opportunities,

get resumes collected, and network. IEEE also hosts social events with other engineering organizations to

help our members de-stress, make new friends, and have fun!
